Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar led a focused review session with the Higher Education Commission team as the meeting, chaired by Federal Secretary for Education and Professional Training Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, tracked progress on the Prime Minister’s directives for the higher education sector. The leadership emphasised coordination and timely delivery across all assigned initiatives to ensure policy goals are met.
The discussion centred on the seamless execution of key programmes, with particular attention to final preparations for the ICT Competency Test scheduled for early April. Officials reviewed operational readiness, stakeholder engagement and logistical arrangements to ensure the ICT Competency Test is administered smoothly and reaches intended beneficiaries across universities.
HEC reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the Government’s vision with diligence and close collaboration with the Ministry. By aligning monitoring mechanisms and practical support for institutions, the commission aims to translate the ICT Competency Test and other strategic priorities into meaningful impact for students and faculty nationwide.
