Islamabad: Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting and promoting women’s rights while marking International Women’s Day on Saturday.
In his message, the prime minister said that empowering women is essential for the country’s progress and sustainable development. He stressed that women play a vital role in every sector of society, including education, healthcare, business, and governance.
The premier stated that the government is working to ensure equal opportunities for women and to create a safe and supportive environment where they can achieve their full potential. He added that several initiatives have been introduced to improve women’s access to education, employment, and financial resources.
The prime minister also acknowledged the contributions and achievements of Pakistani women in various fields, saying their resilience and dedication continue to inspire the nation.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, he called on all segments of society to work together to eliminate discrimination and promote gender equality, ensuring that women are given the respect, protection, and opportunities they deserve.
International Women’s Day is observed around the world on March 8 each year to celebrate women’s achievements and to highlight the ongoing struggle for gender equality and women’s rights.
