Field Marshal Munir Meets Saudi Defense Minister, Discusses Iranian Attacks

Riyadh: Pakistan’s Chief of Defense Forces and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met with Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman in Riyadh to discuss the ongoing security situation in the Middle East, particularly recent Iranian missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia.
During the high-level meeting, both leaders reviewed regional security developments and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to halt Iranian attacks on the Kingdom. They also discussed measures to strengthen cooperation under the Pakistan–Saudi Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement.

Prince Khalid bin Salman stated that such attacks threaten regional peace and stability and stressed the importance of preventing further escalation. He also expressed hope that Iran would exercise restraint and avoid miscalculations that could worsen tensions in the region.
The meeting comes at a time of heightened conflict in the Middle East, where Iranian missile and drone strikes have targeted several locations in Saudi Arabia following ongoing military tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia maintain close strategic and defense ties, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability and cooperation during the meeting.
