Dubai: A second Pakistani national has been killed in Dubai as tensions from the ongoing Middle East conflict continue to impact the Gulf region. The incident occurred when debris from an intercepted missile or drone reportedly fell onto a vehicle in the Al Barsha area, resulting in the death of a Pakistani driver.
According to local authorities, air defense systems in the United Arab Emirates intercepted an aerial threat linked to the escalating regional conflict. However, fragments from the destroyed projectile fell in a populated area, striking the victim’s car.
This tragic incident marks the second Pakistani casualty in the UAE since the latest wave of hostilities began in the Middle East. Earlier, another Pakistani national was reportedly killed in a similar situation involving missile fragments.
Officials say investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. Meanwhile, Pakistani diplomatic authorities in the UAE are in contact with local officials and the victim’s family to facilitate necessary arrangements.
The conflict in the Middle East has heightened security concerns across several Gulf countries. Although the UAE is not directly involved in the fighting, the country remains on high alert due to regional missile and drone threats.
