A review meeting at the Inter Boards Coordination Commission office in Islamabad opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran before a detailed briefing on digital projects led by Deputy Director (IT) Mr. Muhammad Kashif and his team. The session, chaired by Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, examined the trajectory of IBCC digital transformation and the steps needed to expand online access for students and institutions.
The IT presentation covered progress on the Online Board Verification System, Customer Care Desk, Equivalence Portal, Attestation Portal, Digital Verification System and the introduction of an E-Payment Facility by card for national and international applicants. Updates were also provided on enhancements to the official IBCC website and the integration work with the FBISE Online Verification System, with candid discussion of operational challenges in scaling existing platforms.
Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah reiterated that modern technology is central to improving transparency and service delivery and stressed that IBCC digital transformation is focused on creating secure, user-friendly channels. He underlined the goal of a fully automated, paperless working environment where major services are available through digital platforms to facilitate students, educational institutions and stakeholders both inside Pakistan and overseas.
The Executive Director directed the IT team to prioritise usability and accessibility so applicants can complete verifications, attestations and payment processes without unnecessary physical visits. Emphasis was placed on robust e-payment capabilities and reliable online verification to speed up decisions and reduce paperwork for applicants across the country.
While acknowledging resource constraints, Dr. Mallah praised the IT team’s dedication and professionalism in managing multiple initiatives. The meeting concluded with a firm commitment to advance the IBCC digital transformation agenda, promote a paperless institutional culture and ensure efficient, transparent, technology-driven services for students and educational institutions nationwide and internationally.
